Dictation is set up in a few simple steps:

  • Copy and paste the dictation passage to the relevant fields of the WordCheckAI® platform. The system will read it aloud with adjustable reading speed.
  • Take a photo of the handwritten dictation, upload it, and the system will then perform auto-marking.
  • For Chinese dictation, students only need to write on the spaces provided on the screen, and the system will automatically perform marking.
  • All markings will be recorded with detailed reports provided.

Chinese Four-character idioms act as an important part of the broad and profound Chinese culture.  Proper use of idioms can effectively express one’s language accomplishment.

WordCheckAI® Chinese Four-character Idioms Learning Platform is an interesting idiom learning App, which contains multiple elements: idiom learning, dictation, AI auto-marking, fill-in-the-blanks, making sentences with idioms, etc.  All markings will be recorded with detailed reports provided.

Simple and interesting operation

  1.  Each student opens an individual account.

2.  Student learns four idioms which are generated randomly in a time.  Students will go through the learning process in three stages:

Dictation:                      The system reads the four idioms aloud.  Students dictate on the spaces provided on the screen of their mobile devices.  After receiving the students’ dictation, the system will automatically correct and display the correct answers.

Fill-in-the-blanks:              The system will display four fill-in-the-blanks questions.  Students select the correct idiom and drag and drop it to the right positions.  After receiving the students’ input, the system will perform auto-marking and display the correct answers as well as the explanations, sources, synonyms, and antonyms of each idiom.

Sentence making:     Students make sentences with the same four idioms.  After receiving the students’ sentences, the AI system will automatically mark the sentences and suggestions will be displayed.

When the above stages are completed, the system will display the results in the study report.

3.  Study Report

The study report shows details of each exercise: date and time, explanations, sources, synonyms, and antonyms of each idiom learned, and also the marks earned.
